OpenAI has published a music video for the song “Worldweight” by indie musician August Kamp. The video, created in collaboration with Sora, is a combination of fairy-tale scenes, such as a giant crystal in a garden, psychedelic glowing plants, and grainy archival footage of underwater coral reefs. All of these visuals fit the musical atmosphere, which is reminiscent of electronic artists Boards of Canada and Aphex Twin.

In an interview with The Wall Street Journal, OpenAI CTO Mira Murati said that Sora was trained to work with “publicly available and licensed data,” but she did not know if this included videos from YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook.

When asked about the potential for disruption in the film and creative industries, Murati reiterated that OpenAI is looking to get feedback from a select group of early adopters. “We want people from the film industry and creators from all over the world to participate in informing how we develop it further,” she told the magazine.
